All of our accommodation is within easy walking distance of our redeveloped campus. As we’re on the edge of the city centre, this also means Leicester’s many attractions are only minutes away. We aim to, subject to availability, provide university-sourced accommodation for all new UK and international students who request it.
They offer you the choice of 12 halls of residence with more than 3,700 rooms, which means you’ll get the chance to meet lots of new people. There is a variety of contract lengths to suit your needs, with prices ranging from £97 to £172 per week. All our halls are self-catered, giving you the freedom to come and go as you please.
You can choose your own room, subject to availability, with our online booking system.
With such a big choice, one of the most important things to consider is the cost – make sure you look at the total contract price as well as the weekly rate.
You should also consider when rent is due and if there are any upfront costs, as you could have to pay these before your student loan arrives.
Private halls will also require a guarantor and there could be additional expenses, such as upgrading your internet access or contents insurance.
We have signed up to the Universities UK Student Accommodation Code of Practice, which protects your right to safe, good quality accommodation.
University-sourced privately managed halls are signed up to the ANUK National Code, an equivalent voluntary scheme that commits the providers to maintaining professional benchmark standards for large student developments.
Other accommodation providers are available in Leicester, but they might not be covered by the codes.
Currently there are no scholarships available.
